Kodo Millet Upma

Kodo Millet Upma ingredients

INGREDIENTS:

  • Kodo Millet Rawa - 1/2 cup

  • Oil - 2 Tbsp

  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp

  • Jeera - 1/2 Tsp

  • Hing (Asafoetida) - a pinch

  • Chillies (chopped) - 2

  • Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 Tsp

  • Coconut (grated) - 2 Tbsp

  • Water - 1 1/2 Cup

  • Curry Leaves

  • Onion (chopped) - 1 (medium sized)

  • Salt - to taste

  • Lime Juice - 1 Tsp

PROCEDURE:

  1. Wash and soak Radix Nutritive® Roasted Kodo Millet Rawa for 1-2 hours

  2. In a kadai add Oil and Mustard Seeds, Jeera, Hing (Asafoetida), Green Chillies, Ginger, Curry Leaves. Fry till Mustard splutters

  3. Add Onion. Saute for a minute or 2 until onion turns brownish in colour

  4. Add finely chopped veggies (Carrot, Peas, Beans). Saute for 2-3 minutes until veggies are cooked

  5. Add 1 1/2 cup Water and bring to a boil

  6. Add Kodo millet rawa, salt. Mix it well.

  7. Cover with lid and let it cook in 5-7 mins

  8. Once cooked, turn off the gas. Add Grated Coconut, Coriander and Lime Juice.

  9. Relish fluffy kodo millet upma with your favorite chutney, sambar.
