INGREDIENTS:
Kodo Millet Rawa - 1/2 cup
Oil - 2 Tbsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Jeera - 1/2 Tsp
Hing (Asafoetida) - a pinch
Chillies (chopped) - 2
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 Tsp
Coconut (grated) - 2 Tbsp
Water - 1 1/2 Cup
Curry Leaves
Onion (chopped) - 1 (medium sized)
Salt - to taste
Lime Juice - 1 Tsp
PROCEDURE:
Wash and soak Radix Nutritive® Roasted Kodo Millet Rawa for 1-2 hours
In a kadai add Oil and Mustard Seeds, Jeera, Hing (Asafoetida), Green Chillies, Ginger, Curry Leaves. Fry till Mustard splutters
Add Onion. Saute for a minute or 2 until onion turns brownish in colour
Add finely chopped veggies (Carrot, Peas, Beans). Saute for 2-3 minutes until veggies are cooked
Add 1 1/2 cup Water and bring to a boil
Add Kodo millet rawa, salt. Mix it well.
Cover with lid and let it cook in 5-7 mins
Once cooked, turn off the gas. Add Grated Coconut, Coriander and Lime Juice.
Relish fluffy kodo millet upma with your favorite chutney, sambar.
